Hi cruisers. I’m back. Cruise suggestion tomorrow 25th July. - Spoons Uttoxeter.
Forecast good, but mudguards useful ..
Meeting points:
Wedgwood Avenue (09:45)
Bod (10:10)
45-50 steady miles depending on your starting point.

This Tuesday's Ride is Heading South again to a nice little cafe called Alberts cafe in Victoria Park Stafford.
Meet at the BOD at Trentham 9.45am
Distance is only 31.6m BOD to BOD,
some of the route takes us back along the canal tow path. Nice and Steady.
Let me know if you intend to join.
Maybe light rain so bring a mac.

Return via Cheswardine Aston and Acton.
Approximately 50 miles from the start.
Some rain in the forecast but hopefully light..

Sunday Club Ride. 25th June 8.30am from the old club house. A shortish ride to Haughton about 45 miles. Aim to be back for after 12 beating the rain that’s forecast.
Meet for an 8.30am start, Wedgwood Ave, Westlands.

This event is run on the A46 near Newark on Trent
Good road surface but an up and down profile, some long drags.
Very hot 29 degrees plus and quite a strong wind.
91 riders signed up for this one
However; 32 riders DNS and 19 DNF
I would put this down to the conditions
Very tough ride, and a disappointing result
Ran out of power at 28 miles
Result: 02:17:25

To avoid sprinting there as we did last time, suggest we go out via Maer, Podmore, Eccleshall, Yarnfield.
Return via Barlaston , Bod. 35-40 miles.
Looks like another nice ride in the sun.
